WEST STOCKBRIDGE — Select Board unanimously advances seasonal community designation to town meeting. Member Kathleen Keresey said the state designation will unlock grants and support affordable housing efforts. The board also unanimously appointed Scott Muir, Emergency Management Director, as primary representative and David Finck as secondary representative to the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition.
Town Administrator Marie Ryan reported West Stockbridge won a transit grant awarding two 2023 E-Transit electric vehicles, pending a local match contribution of $18,205 on the FY27 warrant. The board agreed to convene a joint meeting with Richmond and Stockbridge on ambulance service coverage, citing 35 of 60 FY26 EMS calls handled by Richmond ambulance.
