Select Board · Meeting of July 8, 2026

West Stockbridge boards approve Police Department budget transfer to cover investigator invoice. The Select Board and Finance Committee jointly voted unanimously to move excess funds from the Police Department salary line to the operating budget, addressing an approximately $20,000 investigator invoice that had not been budgeted and stemmed from unauthorized Police Department spending. Chair Kathleen Keresey said understaffing throughout fiscal year 2026 left the salary line flush.

Any remaining balance after all invoices are paid will return to free cash, and Finance Committee Chair Bob Salerno noted the boards would reconvene for final year-end transfers once the accountant finalizes totals.
