Planning Board withdraws endorsement demand on Khalaf Form A over road access concerns.
Planning Board · Meeting of January 5, 2026
WEST STOCKBRIDGE — Planning Board applicant withdraws Form A subdivision after access way ruled unsafe for fire trucks. Chair Dana Bixby determined that Spencer Place lacks adequate width, road base, and year-round maintenance required for emergency vehicles, citing a December 19 Fire Chief letter and a December 2 Public Works Director email confirming the road is not regularly maintained. Applicant Bryan Siter withdrew rather than redesignate the lot as non-buildable.
In separate action, the board agreed by consensus to request that the Affordable Housing Trust revise its Housing Production Plan to include specific development language, noting the baseline proposal of 15 to 35 units over five years falls short of the town's affordable housing needs.
