WEST STOCKBRIDGE — Planning Board unanimously backs letter urging Affordable Housing Trust to pursue aggressive goals. Chair Dana Bixby's draft requests a minimum of 20 to 30 affordable units over five years, potentially scaling to 40 through a combination of development projects and smaller assistance programs, with senior housing identified as a priority aligned with master-planning survey findings. The board also received a report from Bixby on a recent Zoning Board of Appeals hearing sustaining the building inspector's determination of no violation on an October 4 event at The Foundry; Bixby stated she interpreted the special permit's Condition 5 as restricting live musical instruments, while Foundry owner Amy Brentano affirmed compliance.
The board confirmed February 3 and 17 meeting dates and will review revised Subdivision Control Law regulations for readoption.
